[Ruby 3 JIT _Can_ Make Rails Faster](https://k0kubun.medium.com/ruby-3-jit-can-make-rails-faster-756310f235a) — Ruby introducing its own [JIT compiler](https://engineering.appfolio.com/appfolio-engineering/2019/7/18/jit-and-rubys-mjit) got people pretty excited at the potential performance increases, but [it hasn't suited](http://codefol.io/posts/is-ruby-3-actually-three-times-faster/) many real world situations, such as Rails apps, so far. But things are changing. Taking a “compile all the things” approach with Ruby 3.0 can bring performance improvements (modest for now, but it’s promising).
