The 2014 Rails Hosting Survey results are in!

This year, we have reached an exciting milestone in Rails as it has been 10 years since David Heinemeier Hansson released Rails to the open source world in July of 2004. The crew at Planet Argon thought it was time to reconnect with the community and see how things have changed from the last Rails hosting surveys back in 2009 and 2012.

We wanted to do something different and to highlight changes over the past several years. So we are displaying not only the results of this years survey, but all previous years as well. The 2014 results will be displayed by default but you can highlight the results from both 2012 and 2009 results to make comparisons, or just reminisce.

Let’s get started!

Conclusion

Thank you!! This year we had 1,311 people take the Rails Survey for 2014. We appreciate all of you that put time aside to take this survey and get the word out! Your input helps us learn what trends are happening in our extended community and educates different Rails developers around the world about each other’s development process.

We hope that you learned something from this survey. Look for us again within the next couple of years to compare how things have changed.
