The All New RubyFlow for 2015
RubyFlow began with this post from April 2008 as a way for people to submit links to me for Ruby Inside. It quickly became more than that, though, and has kept me informed for Ruby Weekly even while Ruby Inside has quietly died.
But.. it has been showing its age with an old design, spam, and generally being a mess. I got sick of it and have rebuilt the site from scratch. There are some key changes:
- Now works great on iPhones and so forth. Even Hacker News can’t claim that.
- All new design
- User logins are now handled via GitHub. We all use it, after all.
- User profiles might come back. They’re still behind the scenes but they’ve not been hooked up yet. We’ll be able to join your “new” account to your old one when the time is right.
- The code behind the new site is going to be properly open sourced for your use soon, unlike the weird pseudo-official versions of the old site that were floating around
I can’t think of anything else for now, so feel free to ask me questions, scream at me, and throw general banter around in the comments. Ta!

Thanks! I still have some work to do ops-wise it seems. Heroku occasionally throws “SSL connection has been closed unexpectedly” errors my way. Maybe this is their way of saying to pay $50/month instead of $9/month :-D

Thanks a lot Peter! I visit RubyFlow almost everyday and it’s really useful to find Ruby resources/news. It also helps me a lot to collect new stuff for the awesome-ruby project.

Great news. RubyFlow is fantastic resource for very Ruby developer. Nice feature would be site search. Another one (not so important) to click on a user and see her/his last posts.
